Paint-A-Planter | Mother's Day Flowers
Saturday May 3rd | 11-2pm
Mother's Day is a time to honor not only mothers but also all maternal figures who have shaped our lives. This includes grandmothers, aunts, stepmothers, and mentors who have provided guidance and support. It is also an opportunity to celebrate those who have nurtured others, such as guardians or close friends who have stepped into maternal roles. Recognizing the diverse expressions of motherhood helps us appreciate the unconditional love and care that exists in many forms.
Join us this Saturday with a special someone, and spend some time relaxing and getting creative together.
Each guest will have a brown speckled stoneware planter to decorate with vibrant underglaze colors. Milissa Beale will provide instruction, and continued guidance throughout the process as well as inspiration for decorating. We'll walk through a guided floral painting, and then you'll be given the choice to follow the guides provided, or veer off with your own creativity.
Planters are all individually handmade, and thrown on the potters wheel by Eric Beale. Sizes will vary slightly, but he's pretty good - so not much. :) Sizes are approx. 6x6"
If you have specific flowers that you’re interested in painting, please bring pictures for reference. There will be pictures, real flowers, and books on hand for reference here at the studio.
*As an added Mother’s Day Bonus, you’ll have the choice of a plant for your planter when you come to pick up. We thought this would be a wonderful ready-to-gift item, or a nice way to treat yourself.
This is a family friendly event - all ages welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied with an adult to help them with their painting. Each participant painting a planter must purchase a spot.
Length of Event: 3 hours / Price per person: $75 / Max capacity: Up to 24 guests
*Participants can pick up mugs on the following Friday - the 9th.
